To Provide Clean Drinking Water to:

  • children in rural Ethiopia, great # of children die due to dirty water they drink which normally out of ponds and rivers;
  • Promote education specially for girls whose daily chore is to fetch such water, often long distance, no time in the day left for chool;
  • Promote healthy labor force (adults often sick and can not attain their demanding farm work; 

Why water? (UNCHS shows that access to clean water is the most severe problem in developing world):

  • Every 15 seconds, a child dies due to water related diseases;
  • One out of eight people lack access to clean drinking water;
  • Drinking unsafe water fills greater than half of the hospital beds in developing nations.
  • More than 80% of sicknesses in the world is due to unsafe drinking water and lack of sanitary conditions;
  • Every year, 3.6 million people die due to water born diseases
  • More CHILDREN DIE from diarrheal illnesses like cholera and dysentery than from HIV/AIDS and malaria combined. 


What Can Be Done? We all can help! 'Tesfa (Hope) International' Clean Water' programs to dig clean drinking water wells in Ethiopian Village Centers.

How can one involved to help?

1) You can create your own campain and raise funds to 'Save lives and Change lives' in rural Ethiopia. Each well costs $8000-10500 depending on the water levels in Ethiopia. Each well can support about 540 people for years to come. 2) Adopt Wells for Clean Drinking Water campain: (You and your friends or your work place, or your Sunday School, or your church body may adopt a well or 540 lives). 3) School children may adopt a well to save and change lives of children in rural Ethiopia and raise funds of the complete well or for part of a well, etc. 4) Spread the word; begin a compain; 5) donate by being a partner through monthly giving.  Just do something towards the common goal: providing clean drinking water to children and families in rural Ethiopia to save lives and change lives.
